” NO VOTE. “

Lewiston / Auburn, Maine Newspaper Rebuttal

In the Lewiston, Maine Newspaper story in November 2016, Lewiston, Maine’s Mayor Robert Macdonald bemoans the cost of Asylum seeker to the Residents of Lewiston, Maine.

If the Mayor of Lewiston, Maine would have broken the tie vote at the Lewiston’s City Council Meeting by voting “NO” instead of voting “Yes”; he, might have started a least a slow-down of Asylum seeker flowing into the city hall for general assistance.

Lewiston, Maine City Officials need to tell Federal Government Officials that Lewiston , Maine does not want their money.  It’s time for a diversion to other municipalities – close the gate.

All the city is doing is pushing residential taxpayer’s away and businesses away; as the property taxes have risen by on an average five (5) million dollars a year since 2012.

In the Lewiston, Maine Newspaper story in 15 November 2016, Lewiston, Maine’s Mayor Robert Macdonald bemoans the cost of Asylum seeker to the Residents of Lewiston, Maine.

If the Mayor of Lewiston, Maine would have broken the tie vote at the 01 November 2016 Lewiston’s City Council Meeting by voting “NO” instead of voting “Yes”; he, might have started a least a slow-down of Asylum seeker flowing into the city hall for general assistance.

It is easy for people from out of town to criticize Lewiston, Maine; while, sitting in their beautiful homes enjoying a fifteen (15) dollar mill rate.  It does not affect their taxes or the value of their homes.  While, the Lewiston, Maine tax base is shrinking daily.

If more help is need by Lewiston’s General Assistance at City Hall; consider, a committee to review the size and cost of Lewiston, Maine official management personnel.

There is a Public Works Review Committee but all that does is take the attention away from the real problem and that problem; is, that Lewiston, Maine is in deep financial trouble and needs to be fixed before it sinks into just a memory.

I, consider it my public duty to answer; falsification of fact.

I will not say that I find this an unpleasant duty; for, I am an old campaigner and I love a good fight.

The other’s are disdainful of him and use all their cunning to derail him even at the point of slander; police persecution and bought press.

While there are many things to admire about him; dedication to task, thoroughness  and out of the box thinking; what I find most compelling is his audacity before all.

In some ways. he reminds me of “Job” in that he has simply reached a point of being beyond frustrated with his non winning situation.  He does not just want you to help.  He expects that you will hear him and that you will respond.

When men criticize an establishment that favors immigration, they are accused of being negative or labeled as “troublemaker’s” or “racist”.

He’s not going to sit back; and try to be sweet and patient and wait for others to come around to see his point of view’ he’s going to get in there and…

MAINE RIVER FRONT PROPERTIES ? RIVER CLASSIFICATIONS ?

Lewiston / Auburn, Maine Newspaper Rebuttal

Many river side communities in Maine are banking on improved river fronts;  through, walking trails, bicycle trails, canoeing and other recreational activities to aid in their viability, produce commerce to increase their growth and needed tax revenue.

Chattanooga, Tennessee; San Antonio, Texas; Burlington, Vermont have seen vast improvement in economic development due to a sustainable community involvement .

There was a time when Lewiston, Maine and Auburn, Maine realized the way forward was the Androscoggin River and the major component for this action was the combining of the needs of the two communities.

This was accomplished in 1852 be the realization of the conquering of the Androscoggin River Front (Bates Mill and Canals) to benefit the two communities through water power for the new mills and generation of power to the needed production of jobs.

As, you can imagine; the Androscoggin River for a century and a half (150 years.)…
